Socal Car Meets/Shows First Meet & Greet

First, a little background of what this meet was all about. A couple months ago somebody felt there was a lack on today's car scene. I'm surprised nobody thought of it sooner but it wasn't until Michael Koldus saw a light bulb go off in his head. He felt the need for an easier way for us Socal tuner enthusiast to find out information on local car meets and shows. Which resulted in a new group on Facebook but with now with a group of car enthusiast, the next thing those members are going to be asking for is a meet. Again, it took just a couple weeks and Michael delivered. Below you will see a few of the members who were able to take the time out to come to the first Socal Car Meets/Shows First Meet & Greet held at Hooters in Anaheim. Honestly, there wasn't much meeting going on but hey it was still pretty cool. Thanks again to Mike as well as those who were able to come out and show some love. Now all that's up to decide is whether to make this monthly, same location, different location and so forth. Also, this group isn't all about owning a sexy, flashy car as I am a great example of that. So if you would like to join Click Here.

Live Free. Run Free.

Well, let me start this off. Alright, so lately I've been kind of doing the gym thing and I'm starting to run a bit more. Problem is the shoes I've been using are no longer in running condition. Maybe I'll just use them for hiking instead or something. With that being said, I was in need of new "running" shoes. I know a bunch of companies are all on the running shoe gimmick thing right now but I guess I chose to go with the Nike Free Runs.

Now on with the color. I guess it was random that these shoes come in a variety of colors but for some reason or another, I've been on this teal, turquoise, or whatever you want a call it thing. It's like my color right now. Shoot, even the new registration sticker for my car is this color. Problem is I had to drive everywhere just to get these shoes in these color. Now all I have to do is run as much as I drove to get these baby's. That means the ride from my house to Valencia Mall, then the ride from my house to Simi Valley Town Center, and finally the ride from my house to Fox Hills Mall in Culver City. Keep in mind, I'm talking about there and back. I do realize the color is really Chlorine Blue but meh, close enough! Hah.

By the way, I wore these shoes last night and since I'm not use to the whole shoe and "free natural movement of your foot type of shoe" it took a little getting use to but it's really a dope shoe.

Here it is! Size 13, the only size Simi Valley had. Finally got them! The FINAL pair Fox Hills Mall had in my size.
Hi, I am weird. Nice to meet you. /0.0\

Krispy Kreme Meet.

Last week was the Krispy Kreme meet once again held in Burbank. It's been about two months since the last one and I think with all that time in-between and all the facebook posts, it only added to the turnout of show goers as well as the cops. Once I first pulled up to the parking lot where it was suppose to be held I saw a motorcycle cop hiding behind a building, then as I pulled in into the lot I saw one giving a ticket, and tons more cops in cars as wells as unmarked cars driving around the lot. As I got out of my car I wasn't sure if this meet was dead before it even started or what. But since my car is pretty much legal and doesn't really attract any attention at all I laid low to see what was up. Fortunately, I decided to stay and I have to say it was probably one of the best meets I've been to so far. Tons of cars showed up from muscle, to euro, imports, motorcycles, classics, and so on. I'm pretty sure there was well over 1,000 cars there. People were even friendly, tapping my shoulder and asking if I could take a couple pictures of their ride. Sadly, I still didn't get any Krispy Kreme donuts, as I was trying to save my money for the Dodger game the next day. Anyways, until the next meet enjoy these photos I took.

 Unmarked cop car.
 People wondering what to do.
 Dope.
This car broke many necks that night. I actually saw this car going home the same way I do.
"Import Fashion" in the house with one of his models.
 Mario's crazy low civic.
 Simple and clean.
Bumped into Gino and Niko as well as their rides.
 This thing was loud.
Reminds me of my boy Jason's A3...Sexy Sexy.
 Mesh rims!
Canibeat in the house. New rims I think? I like 'em.
 Clean Accord.
Always been a fan of this A3.
 Rolling deeeeeeep!
One of my favs! FC's baby!
Nilo's properly excuted ride. RHD too! For sale btw.
I remember this WRX from way back when. He parked and I just snapped a shot.
Seen this ride online but damn! As soon as he pulled up people came over like I was offering free kisses or something...haha. =D
Mr. Vasquez's sexy MR-2. Oh and some model. Jaykay!
Use to want these rims til I found out how much they were, haha.
Sick bB's in the house....errr lot.
I'll end it here. Model + Car = Causes Traffic Jam. People wouldn't move for the cars to leave!!

Getting Her Prepped.

Last week there was another Krispy Kreme meet happening in Burbank. Yet, with even a boring old Corolla, I still felt the need to clean it up all nice and purdy. I doubt anyone took a second glance her way but to me it's not what you have but what you make of it. I may not have the flashiest of cars but she gets me places. Anyways, since the last time I posted up anything on my car, a few things of changed. Probably the one thing that stands out most would be the new lip? Well, it's just whatevers to me now since I already messed it up, hah. Other little things that I did were to remove the side moldings on the doors, emblems on the back and colored matched the grille. Maybe later I'll do some kind of before and after. Now with the lip on my car is begging, pleading for a drop and some rims but I just don't have that funds right now. But on with the pictures!

Cleaned up my stock engine.
Side moldings and emblems are gone. Cleaner look, yes? Duckie antenna ball? =]
Good and bad look. Good because it's clean bad because it looks like a truck.
A little peak at the lip.
Nothing fancy.
Cell Phone Camera + Sunlight = Interesting Shot.
I'll end it here. Thanks for looking.
