L.A. Daze.

A little over a month ago, I told one of my homegirls how I wanted to get out of this city and explore some old spots that I haven't been to in awhile. Little did I know, she would be down for whatever I had planned for that day. Yet for some reason, I really didn't feel like bringing my camera but luckily enough, she brought hers.

I've been meaning to post these pictures up but I didn't want this to just be a regular old post. As you can see, her pictures are a lot better than the stuff I've been taking with my Nikon. But anyways, this is my friend Liz, she's a down as chick and chill to hang with. Below are pictures I've taken with my phone and the dope pictures are the ones she took with her Nikon, as well as one I took of her. (Thanks Liz for sharing your pictures with me cause I know how are you about that.) Enjoy.

Btw, Nikon > Canon. I keed. =]

Again, thanks for the pictures Liz. =]

Usher Baby!

On Thursday the 16th, my homegirl Tellie invited me last minute to go with her somewhere and my response was, "sure." The pictures should say it all, Mini Usher Concert for Jimmy Kimmel Live. Sorry if the pictures seem so far but I don't own a phone with zoom like the iPhones and Blackberry's like 90% of the people there. Anyways, less talking and on with the pictures!

These are the pictures I have left after I delete a bunch of other ones since I didn't want to post so many friggin pictures. =]

Oh My Buddha.

On Wednesday the 15th, my mom set up a date with this one monk. This visit was mainly for me and the temple was located in Long Beach. My mom was telling how this monk supposedly specializes in helping with jobs. It was interesting to hear the things he had to say about me as well as my mom.

Car Show.

Yesterday, my homies and I attended a Classic Car Show that is held regularly at Route 66 in Canyon Country.  The reason we attended it was because there was a special 9/11 tribute they were doing and they were going to pay respects to Ian Gelig as well as other fallen soldiers from SCV. Below are some pictures that were taken, maybe you'll recognize some of these cars and the movies that they were in. Keep in mind there was TONS of other cars that I didn't take pictures of, as I decided to focus on the more famous ones.

Once again I took these pictures with my phone because I left my house thinking I wouldn't need Nikki and I failed.

Dog Sitting.

Meet Bentley. I found him on the streets running around with no where to go yesterday. Alright, I'm joking. Actually he's my homegirl Ashley's dog. Sandra had been watching for most of the day til I picked him up at 4:30. After an hour had passed, Ashley came over to pick him up and take him home. JUST enough time for me to take some pictures of him. =D Isn't he cute?

In this picture he's actually laying down on my leg.

That's all for now. =]

Got My Pho on Tonight.

If you know me, then you know that I've been craving pho for the longest. The only problem was that the heat has been scorching hot and that just doesn't work for me and my pho. Below is a picture of said pho.

The night was topped off when I went to pick up an extra battery for my phone from Ricky/Krystelle's. Thanks again. =D

Crazy, it's already been 6 months (half a year).

Today is September 1st, 2010... six months since that day. In case you aren't familiar with what I am talking about, well then... keep reading. On March 1st, 2010, I received a call that I never expected to receive. It was Yan, Ian's sister. We, his first family and our second family, lost our brother and our hero, who was fighting for our freedom over in Afghanistan. Anyways, let me keep this post more positive, as he would want it that way. Here's a little background... to date, Ian Gelig is one of my friends who I've known the longest. It started in 6th grade when we both moved to this city.  It wasn't long before we became each other's first friend. Considering that I am 27, it would only mean that I have known him for more than half my life. It was a friendship that continued to grow since that day. It's hard to believe that six months has already gone by; the call I received that day is still fresh in my mind. After work today, I decided I would pay him a visit, show my respects. Sigh... as I was sitting on the ground, leaning back against the wall, and staring at his plaque, I realized... once again... things won't ever be the same.
